I am sorry I haven't posted in awhile. March was so crazy busy for me work-wise, solving out my taxes and dealing with new possible clients of mine. I haven't had time to even eat properly, workout or do my favorite thing sew. But things are slowly settling down and I took a breather during the Easter weekend when I just went to my country house and finally got to rest a little.
But two days ago I got to reward myself and got a new Canon 80D camera. Now I am able to push my work even further and include photography once again in my work life. Plus I can get crazy creative here which is a good thing.
So yesterday me and my boyfriend went for a spring walk and got to do some nice shots and I can introduce you to a dress I made in January.
I wanted a wrap dress since fall because with my figure (big chest, wide hips, big butt) is kind of hard to define my waist. And wrap dresses are perfect helpers. Thanks Dianne von Furstenberg!
I found a pattern in Burda 4/2015 and decided to make model #121. You can download the pattern here. It was actually quite easy and took me only about 12 hours to make (remember I am still learning so I am slower than skilled seamstress). My fabric of choice was cotton chambray in classic light blue color.
I love the result as the dress looks nice, fits great and is super comfortable. My favorite? Huuuuuuuge pockets so you don't even need to wear handbag. I styled it with studded denim jacket from this DIY article.
What do you think of this dress? Dig it? Let me know!
